Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Rhiannon, with Christine singing instead of Stevie, from Rumours rehearsals.
She’s so sweet!!!! Guys, don’t be too harsh with her! We know this is not her song, but we must appreciate the fact that she tried to sing it even if Stevie and her have very different voice, and she did a very good job! :) Thanks lorimckennas for posting this! :)

Some people keep on posting Fleetwood Mac’s photos or songs deliberately “forgetting” to tag Christine and it seems that many of them do it on purpose. I’m now tempted to unfollow these users or stop liking their posts. When I upload a pic I always pay attention to tag everything and everyone, so if you post Stevie, Mick, John or Lindsey’s photos you also have to tag Chris, if she’s in it. It’s a matter of respect towards Chris, her career, her skills and all her fans who wish to find something new about her whenever they do a search. If you don’t like my thoughts, you’re free to unfollow me: I’m not going to tear my hair out because of haters. All I care about is Christine and she’s far too underrated to be treated like that by so- called “fans” who don’t even know who she is or the fact that she was in the band since 1970. Being humble and gentle as she’s always been doesn’t mean being less worthy of attention or recognition!
To all people who appreciate/support me and my little blog, my friends and real fans, I’m sorry for my outburst. It’s not my custom, but I’m sure you can understand my feelings. A lot of people can’t stand rudeness and carelessness and me neither.

@smile-at-the-sea : Thanks for your support, you are a kind person :)
@gllow: I don’t know, but I think they don’t tag her on purpose since I saw that some user posted “Songbird” or “Don’t stop” (just to mention some of Chris’s songs) and they only tagged Stevie: not only they don’t know who Christine is, but they don’t even know anything about Stevie or FM..yes, unluckily stupid people exist and they prove to be like that.
Here’s my new purchase: Fleetwood Mac and Christine Perfect “Albatross” (recorded in 1969, released in 1977 by CBS Records). The album contains, on side 1, famous hits of the band’s original lineup, such as “Albatross”, “Rambling pony” and “Need your love so bad”. On side 2 there are all the songs contained in “The legendary Christine Perfect album”, such as “I’d rather go blind”, “Crazy ‘bout you baby”, “No road is the right road” and “And that’s saying a lot”. A very good album for blues lovers and music collectors!

lauramcvie replied to your post: I don’t feel like Christine Mcvie get’s enough…
I TOTALLY agree with you!
Whenever I watch any programmes on the Mac nothing is really made of the massive contribution she made and what an important part she was. I know she left but bloody hell she was in the band for years and years. She was there at the height of it all. :(
You are right: she was there even before they reached the pinnacle of success, even before Stevie and Lindsey joined the band (with all due respect to the excellent work they did for FM), she wrote most of the lyrics and music, she often played more than one instrument at time, but despite all of this, she’s still so underrated today. Another proof of that is the fact that many users here post pictures of the group and always forget to mention her in the damn tags (or they tag someone else even when they post her songs). And it really, really hurts me because she’s not invisible, she’s not an object, she EXISTS and deserve to be mentioned and remembered for the GREAT things she did for the band, as well as for being an extraordinary person.
Ok, first of all I’d like to thank jetaime-melancolie and i-found-my-own-kind-of-stardust for tagging me :) That said, I’m going to honestly answer to all the questions posed here…
Rule 1: Post the rules
Rule 2: Answer the questions the blogger gave you
Rule 3: Pick 10 bloggers and tag them to the post
Rule 4: Let them know you tagged them
1. What is your favorite memory?
My favorite memory is when I met my wonderful ex-girlfriend the first time she came to my city and she posed her feet on the station platform…so many people passed in front of her, but my eyes immediately found her. I ran to her and we kissed, not caring about the world around us. There was only her for me at that moment. It was September 2009 and I was a happy person back then.
2. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go, and for how long?
Well, if I could choose where to live, I’d undoubtedly choose the United States, especially California (Los Angeles). Living and working in the US is a dream of mine since I was a child!
3. What was the last dream you had about?
Since when I’m alone, I often have nightmares or most of the time I don’t remember what I dream, but I clearly remember that one week ago I dreamed about Stevie Nicks: I was in her dressing room and I could see her from behind. I was going to take a pic of her, but then I thought it was a rude gesture not asking her permission first. So I waited and, after a few seconds, she sensed my presence and turned towards me. I said: “I won’t take a photo of you without your permission, but first of all I’d like to know how is your knee going”. She smiled at me, took my face between her hands and hugged me, whispering a Thank you into my ear. A short, but very nice dream! :)
4. What is a song that makes you feel happy?
EVERY Fleetwood Mac song makes me happy. It’s very difficult for me to pick just one, because thanks to their music I’ve defeated depression.
5. Do you believe in magic?
I believe in “white magic”, the good magic used to heal physically and emotionally, although I’ve never practiced it in my whole life (I just like to read about it).
6. What is your dream job?
I’m a AutoCAD 2D/3D qualified technician, but also a graphic and publicist in my spare time (since I’m unemployed). I’d like to work in the same field, but it’s not easy to find a job of this kind nowadays, specially in Italy.
7. What is your favorite book, and why?
I know this will sound strange, but my readings are mainly about parapsychology and science, or the exact opposite: love stories and fanfictions. I read very much but I tend to forget titles… I guess I have a very curious mind, to say the least :D Now I’m starting to read a book my ex girlfriend sent me some days ago, titled “Feed your demons: Ancient wisdom for resolving inner conflict”, by lama Tsultrim Allione. As written in the description, this book is “an accessible and effective approach for dealing with negative emotions, fears, illness, and self-defeating patterns. Allione-one of only a few female Buddhist leaders in this country and comparable in American religious life to Pema Chodron-bridges this ancient Eastern practice with today’s Western psyche. She explains that if we fight our demons, they only grow stronger. But if we feed them, nurture them, we can free ourselves from the battle.”
8. What is your favorite scent?
Oh, a lot of scents! The scent of clean skin after showering, of a woman, of sandalwood and other incense, essential oils and fragrances for men, of clean and ironed clothes just pulled out of the closet at the change of season, of ancient books, photos and vinyls, of electronic components, of varnishes and permanent markers ink (toxic!), of ethnic foods and pizza and wet grass before the rain….etc etc…:)
9. How are you today?
I’m fine, but I’d feel better if Summer could finally start!
10. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes, I still believe in it….
Questions: 1. Who is your favorite musical artist of ALL TIME?
Fleetwood Mac. Especially, of course, my love Christine McVie! Here in Italy, my all time fav singer is Renato Zero.
2. What was the most glorious moment of your childhood?
I really don’t have a particular glorious moment of my childhood, I think the most beautiful were those where, during Summer, me and my family spent the holidays on Lake Garda and we went to Gardaland, the biggest italian theme park (also ranked fifth by Forbes magazine of the top ten amusement parks in the World).
3. If you could pick what your eye color was what would it be and why?
Blue. Or green. I just find them particularly attractive…
4. Is there any moment in your life that you could say is the most important moment of your life? If so what is it?
Any moment with my ex-gf was important, but I’ll never forget about these. Waking up during the night, with the moon that lights up your skin from the windows. Remembering to have fallen asleep alone in your bed ‘cos she was working with her laptop in the other room, but suddenly feeling the body of your girlfriend laying on yours, kissing you slowly. Making sweet and unexpected love to you, listening to her every breath, knowing that her heartbeat is only for you. The best awakening in the middle of the night. Finding the job of your dreams as a graphic after some days, leaving your office in the evening to get to the tram stop, daydreaming of a better life for you and your partner with the rent of a better apartment and some money to buy food. Then, all those dreams are shattered by unscrupulous people. You come apart and are forced to live in two different cities. Your love ends and you remain alone, with thousands of memories and thoughts about what could have been your future together and a sense of anger, despair, remorse and an inner void that since that fateful day of November 2011 I have never been able to fill.
5. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you as a youngster?
Maybe the last time I peed in my bed, and I was 6 years old. Or that time in 2002, when I was a University student and I liked a girl, but she was just using me, so that evening I got so drunk that I kissed a friend of mine (she’s straight) straight to the lips in the middle of a crowded pub. The poor girl had to accompany me back to the dorm, holding me by the arm and when I got there all my friends got worried and… well, they all brought me to the bathroom, where I threw up in the presence of the audience.
6. What are your beliefs on the afterlife?
Being a paranormal believer, I believe that the souls of the dead continue to live among us in a parallel dimension. That’s why, in many cases, highly sensitive people (not just mediums, but ordinary people) or researchers with the help of special equipment can get in touch with these souls, recording, filming and photographing their appearances. Anyway, I’d like to believe in reincarnation.
7. Have you ever actually believed that the moon was cheese?
No sorry, I’ve always thought it was a slightly overweight and pissed off woman.
8. Do you believe we live among supernatural creatures/ beings?
As I said before, I believe in paranormal, but I don’t believe in zombies, elves, fairies and stuff like that.
9. Do you think that there are other worlds out there?
Yes, I strongly believe in it. It would be selfish and self-centered considering to be the only living beings that populate our Universe!
10. Have you ever eaten poop?
OMG…Whaattt???? NO!!! I was drinking strawberry milk when I read this question and I sprayed everything on the screen! Great, now I have a strawberry flavored laptop… I wished the last question was better than this! Sigh..but it was funny anyway! :D
And now, the tagged ones. I’ve just picked some of my fav bloggers or friends, but you are NOT obliged to answer to this test. It’s just for fun and a way to let people know about your blog, ok? :) There are so many blogs that I like, such as smile-at-the-sea, future-trees, youcouldbemarilyn, chloelikesitcountry, something—of-a-dreamer, bellaronna, nicki-brand, piracycunt, black-magic-woman, teleia21, amelioratelife, catinthedarkeness, tango-in-shangri-la, etc etc…sorry if I can t mention everyone, but the list could be very, very long and I had to pick just 10 of you! :)
I was curious who was in the picture behind Stevie.
Thanks to “lauramcvie” I now know…
You’re welcome, my friend! :) You know, to share with others is one of the most important things in life. Thank God friends and mature individuals still exist, not only people who just care if there’s or there isn’t the copyrights, money and stuff like that. We earn nothing by posting pics, people should start to grow up. We just do it for the love of an artist and for the sake of other fans. But you know, haters gonna hate and unluckily there’s not so much we can do about it…
It’s Nicksmas! - Happy 65th Birthday to the Queen of Rock and Roll Stevie Nicks!
Happy Birthday, dear Stevie!! :))))
